The photograph showed protesters in London enraged, pulling hard, leaning against the iron fence in front of them, shouting and feasts in the air, some holding placards, showing the president of Sudan, Omar Hasan al-Bashir, reading "Wanted - For the rape of Darfur."
The photographer had written a note wondering if these things really should be allowed to happen in 2006. So I find myself commenting on his work and urging him to see the importance of his place, the journalist, in making issues noticed along with giving a real and accentuated picture of a matter. I told him I live in an underdeveloped country, and that I am struggling for free, independent media.
The conflicts in Darfur is expected to be discussed at the Organisation of the Islamic Conference shortly.
